Overview
The RUT271 brings 5G to small industrial installations. It uses 5G RedCap (Reduced Capability, 3GPP Release 17), the 5G variant made for IoT: standalone 5G with lower power and cost than full 5G, up to 223 Mbit/s download and 123 Mbit/s upload. Where there is no 5G yet, it falls back to 4G LTE Cat 4.
The version we stock has an eSIM next to the physical SIM slot, with room for up to seven eSIM profiles. Profiles can be downloaded, switched and removed remotely, also through Teltonika RMS, so a change of mobile provider doesn’t need a site visit.
It keeps the compact format of the RUT200 and RUT241: 83 × 25 × 74 mm, two Ethernet ports, Wi-Fi, a digital input and output, a 9–30 V DC input (or passive PoE) and an operating range of −40 °C to 75 °C. RutOS adds WAN failover, firewall and VPN.
